The Indian Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) has refused to allow helmer Mike Nichols’ Oscar-nommed “Closer” to be released in India due to its depiction of promiscuity.
Distrib Sony Pix Releasing Intl. will appeal the decision and pitch the film to the Revising Committee. Distrib refused to comment.
