BVI loads up Expo with 2 pix

'Herbie,' 'Cinderella' to be screened

Buena Vista Intl. will screen “Herbie: Fully Loaded” and “Cinderella Man” at the 2005 edition of Cinema Expo Intl.

BVI is handling foreign distribution on both pics. Disney will bow “Herbie” Stateside on June 22. Universal launches “Cinderella Man,” co-produced by Miramax, on June 3 in the U.S.

Cinema Expo unfolds in Amsterdam June 27-30. The screenings are skedded for June 29.

Mitch Neuhauser, the confab’s co-managing director, said, “Wednesdays at Cinema Expo have become known as BVI Day, as they have consistently provided attendees advanced screenings at what ultimately prove to be among the top theatrical attractions of their respective release seasons.”

Last year, BVI brought “Shall We Dance” and “King Arthur” to Amsterdam. Past BVI pics shown at Cinema Expo include “Armageddon,” “The Rock,” “Face/Off,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” and “Finding Nemo.”
