RIO DE JANEIRO — Walter Carvalho and Sandra Werneck’s “Cazuza — O tempo nao para” (Cazuza –Time Doesn’t Stop), the Brazilian pic with highest B.O. in 2004, and Eliane Caffe’s “Narradores de jave” (The Storytellers) have 11 nominations each in the Brazil Film Academy awards.
Claudio Torres’ “Redentor” (Redeemer), Roberto Moreira’s “Contra todos” (Up Against Them All) and Marcos Bernstein’s “O outro lado da rua” (The Other Side of the Street) are the other nominees for feature.
More than 200 members of Academy selected the nominees in 20 categories through an Internet vote, which is audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The three-year-old Academy’s kudocast will take place in Rio on May 24.
