Beacon books ‘Serial’ duo

Ripp, Wolfson to pen psychological thriller

Beacon Pictures has hired Adam Ripp and Steven Wolfson to write horror feature “Serial” for Beacon and Cheyenne Entertainment to produce. Ripp is set to helm.

“Serial” is a psychological thriller along the lines of “Saw.”

Producers are Beacon’s Charlie Lyons and Cheyenne’s Arnold Rifkin.

Sheldon Brigman, Bill Vergos and James Choi are co-producing. Choi, of Karma Entertainment, brought the project to Elsie Choi at Cheyenne.

Ripp and Wolfson also wrote “Gang Tapes” for Lions Gate Films, with Ripp directing.

More recently, duo created, wrote and exec produced the television pilot “Hollywood Vice” for Fox 21. Ripp helmed.
