AFM unspools record 529 pix

'Dust' included in 26th American Film Market screenings

Robert Towne’s “Ask the Dust” is among the record 529 films in 35 languages confirmed to screen at the upcoming 26th American Film Market.

Included are a record 383 market preems, according to Independent Film & Television Alliance exec veep and AFM director Jonathan Wolf. Mart runs Nov. 2-9 in Santa Monica.

In addition, 45 of the films also will be official selections at the concurrent AFI Fest 2005.

Titles set to screen at AFM include “American Gun,” with Donald Sutherland and Marcia Gay Harden; “Conversations With Other Women,” starring Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart; and “Ellie Parker,” with Naomi Watts and Chevy Chase.
