Film set to bow at Cannes Market on May 14
Myriad Pictures has acquired international rights to psychological thriller “The Zodiac.” Pic stars Justin Chambers, Robin Tunney, Rory Culkin and Philip Baker Hall.
Pic is based on the story of the Zodiac Killer, who committed a string of murders in northern California over a 12-year span. Alexander Bulkley, who wrote the script with Kelly Bulkley, directed the pic. Corey Campodonico produced the film.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures are cofinancing the big-budget take on the serial killer with “Zodiac.” Helmed by David Fincher, the cast includes Mark Ruffalo, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey, Jr. Production is expected to begin in August.
“The Zodiac” came to Myriad via JC Rappaport, VP production and acquisitions and will premiere at the Cannes Market May 14.
Campodonico and Alexander Bulkley are also producing animated TV series “Robot Chicken” for the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.
