Kaplan and Perrone to produce "AdopTed"

Working Title has bought the pitch “AdopTed” by producers Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone and scribe Adam Sztykiel.

Story concerns a couple who are desperately trying to adopt a baby but inadvertently adopt a full-grown man.

Kaplan, Perrone and Sztykiel developed the idea for the script, which Sztykiel is writing.

Kaplan and Perrone will produce.

Liza Chasin is the Working Title exec on the film.

Sztykiel sold the spec scripts “Power Trip” to DreamWorks and “Made of Honor” to Sony.

Kaplan and Perrone are exec producing “You, Me and Dupree,” a spec by Michael LeSieur that sold to Universal this week for seven figures (Daily Variety, March 17), with Owen Wilson attached to star. The pair is also co-producing “Knowing,” an Escape Artists project that Alex Proyas is directing.
