Former DreamWorks exec Jeanne Allgood has joined McG’s Sony-based production shingle, Wonderland Sound & Vision, where she will assume executive duties on pics including “Hot Wheels,” which McG is directing. Allgood also will be responsible for developing the company’s slate.
During Allgood’s two-year stint at DreamWorks, she worked on upcoming films including “Red Eye,” directed by Wes Craven; “Dreamer,” starring Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning; and “She’s the Man,” starring Amanda Bynes.
Allgood began her career in the film business as an assistant at Jersey Films and spent 4½ years as a development veep for Cathy Konrad (“Identity”).
“Jeanne is a good person and an incredible talent, both of which are important at Wonderland,” McG said. “We strive to provide a platform for people to be the very best they can be, and Jeanne will be one of the most prolific film producers this town has ever seen.”
David Manpearl continues as VP of Wonderland. He’s served as co-producer on the film “Stay Alive”; he’s overseeing post-production on that pic and development of remake “Revenge of the Nerds.”
Wonderland’s TV side also is gearing up for a productive fall, with the return of Fox’s “The OC” and “Supernatural” bowing on the WB.
