City Lights Pictures has come aboard to finance, with Mega Films and Trybe Films, the psychological thriller “Descent,” starring and produced by Rosario Dawson.
She plays a college student seeking vengeance after an act of violence.
City Lights also is serving as worldwide sales rep on the pic.
Talia Lugacy and Brian Priest penned the script, with Lugacy to helm.
Mega principal Morris Levy will produce in association with Dawson and her production shingle, Trybe. City Lights CEO Danny Fisher will exec produce, with Jack and Joe Fisher, Michael Almog and Michael Califra.
Pic will lense in Gotham next month. Project had been in development at Gotham indie shingle Co.Op.
City Lights’ credits include John Waters’ “A Dirty Shame” and supernatural thriller “Tamara.”
Dawson’s upcoming credits include the bigscreen version of “Rent” and the sequel to “Sin City.”
