Indie distrib banner to lauch sales unit at Cannes
Indie distribution banner ThinkFilm will launch an international sales unit in May at the Cannes Film Festival.
International film vet Mark Horowitz will supervise the launch.
ThinkFilm will be offering worldwide rights to titles including lauded Sundance docus “Murderball,” about quadriplegic rugby players, and “The Aristocrats,” with 100 comedians telling an infamous dirty joke. Company will also bring Clement Virgo’s feature “Life With Me” and docu “The Last Mogul,” about Lew Wasserman, to the market.
Horowitz was prexy of international sales and distribution division Alliance Atlantis Pictures Intl. from 1996 to 2002. He has overseen international distribution of some 20 films, including Neil LaBute’s “In the Company of Men” and Neil Jordan’s “The Good Thief.”
