Spanish ‘Teresa’ travels abroad

High profile pic stars Vega, Mortensen

“Teresa,” Ray Loriga’s portrait of Spanish protofeminist and hallucinatory mystic Teresa de Avila, has been sold to Brazil (Conquest Filmes), Mexico (Gussi) and Venezuela (Blancica).

One of Spain’s highest profile pics, “Teresa” stars Paz Vega (as Saint Teresa) and Viggo Mortensen.

It is produced by Andres Vicente Gomez’s Lolafilms, in co-production with the U.K.’s Future Films and France’s Artedis.

Victoria Abril will play a prioress, and Leonor Watling, a charitable aristocrat.
