NEW YORK — “Friday After Next” helmer Marcus Raboy has come aboard New Line’s fish-out-of-water comedy feature “Whitebread.”
Set against the backdrop of black fraternities and stepping competitions, pic centers on a white student who promises his grandfather that he will pledge his old frat only to discover the house has become black.
Based a pitch by Peter Cohen, “Whitebread’s” screenplay was penned by Rob Lieber.
Deacon Entertainment’s Damon Lee is producing, along with John Herzfeld and Michael Jenkinson.
New Line execs Mark Kaufman, Matt Moore and Luke Ryan are overseeing.
The studio previously released Raboy’s comedy “Friday After Next,” which starred Ice Cube and Mike Epps.
