Francois Lesterlin and Adam Krentzman’s Outlook Films has its first go movie with “Elephant Tales,” a live-action family adventure feature that will begin shooting June 13. Myriad Pictures reps sales on the pic.
Pic is the tale of two pachyderms on a journey to find their parents. Mario Andreacchio will shoot the film in Africa with a cadre of animals and 22 trainers. Andreacchio, John Wild and Denis Whitburn wrote the script.
Andreacchio produces the film with Breakout Films’ Georges Campana. Outlook is the pic’s executive producer and retains distribution rights in Latin America and the Middle East.
Universal Pictures picked up French-speaking rights with the exception of pay TV, which was acquired by Canal Plus in France.
Financing for the film came from sources including Film Finance Corp. Australia, South Australia Film Corp., Capreo Investments and Bank of Ireland.
Krentzman launched the Los Angeles-based Outlook in 2003.
