Optimum says ‘Yes’ for U.K.

Co. also takes 'New York Doll,' 'Holy Beast'

Optimum Releasing has picked up all U.K. rights to Sally Potter’s “Yes” from GreeneStreet Films, Greg Whiteley’s docu “New York Doll” from Cinetic Media and Erich Breuer’s “The Holy Beast” from Artists Independent Films.

“Yes” stars Joan Allen and Sam Neil in a story of passion and betrayal across the religious and cultural divide.

“New York Doll” follows the efforts of the former bass player of the New York Dolls to reunite the band 30 years after their heyday.

“The Holy Beast,” set to shoot this October in Italy and Argentina, stars John Malkovich and Nastassja Kinski in the story of one man’s journey from priesthood to damnation.
