Cynthia Nixon will topline helmer Alex Steyermark’s indie feature “One Last Thing.” Pic is being produced through the HDNet Films division of Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban’s 2929 Entertainment, and will lens in April in Gotham.
Co-starring Michael Angarano, film follows a mom and her terminally ill son whose dying wish is made on national TV when a show offers to fulfill his wildest dreams.
Barry Stringfellow penned the screenplay.
Wagner and Cuban are exec producers, with HDNet Films co-prexys Jason Kliot and Joana Vicente producing. Susan Stover also will produce.
A former star of HBO’s “Sex in the City,” Nixon recently wrapped the 20th Century Fox feature “Little Manhattan,” opposite Bradley Whitford. Upcoming projects include HBO pic “Warm Springs.”
HDNet Films’ docu “Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room” preemed at Sundance. Pic will be rolled out through 2929’s Magnolia distribution banner.
