Sanji Senaka has looked “Into the Mirror,” and he likes what he sees.
Having lensed for recording artists like Mary J. Blige, Tori Amos, Maxwell and Lauren Hill, musicvid helmer Senaka is now segueing to motion pictures at Fox-based Regency Enterprises.
Senaka is in negotiations to helm “Into the Mirror,” a horror pic penned by scribe Joe Gangemi that’s described by insiders as in the vein of “The Ring,” wherein spirits from a different plane terrify shoppers in a mall.
“Mirror” is being produced by Marc Sternberg, who recently produced the 2004 teen comedy “The Girl Next Door,” also for Regency.
Regency is wholly financing the pic, which would be distribbed by Fox if greenlit. Regency director of development Alexa Amin is supervising production for shingle’s production prexy, Sanford Panitch.
Senaka’s repped by CAA.
