Twentieth Century Fox has paid $750,000 against $1.25 million in a preemptive bid for Eileen Walls spec “Who’s Your Momma.”
Story concerns a group of bored and frustrated suburban mothers who form a garage band and begin to write and perform songs about the often-ignored realities of motherhood.
Theatrical production exec Vanessa Morrison will oversee the project’s development for studio prexy Hutch Parker.
Kevin Messick (“American Pimp”) produces from an original idea he assigned to Walls. (Messick has a “story by” credit on the script.)
Messick just produced “A Lot Like Love” for Beacon Pictures. Directed by Nigel Cole, the romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet will be released by Touchstone on April 22.
Script deal was made by BWCS.
