Miami film permits made easy

Short Take

The three film offices serving most of greater Miami have launched one-stop permitting for activity within Miami-Dade County.

Producers seeking permits for film, TV, commercial, video and still photo shoots can apply online at Filmiami.org.

Some 80% of permitted production takes place in the cities of Miami and Miami Beach and in areas controlled by the county, such as the airport and seaport. County film office also handles the permitting for a number of smaller municipal jurisdictions.

The one-stop service does not cover the cities of Coral Gables or Key Biscayne, among some other cities in Miami-Dade County.
