ImaginAsian pix screen at AFI

Asian-American cable net to feature 'Classics'

ImaginAsian TV, the first 24/7 Asian-American entertainment cable network, will showcase a series of films, titled “Asian New Classics” at the upcoming AFI Fest Nov. 3-13.

Many of the films have never been screened in the U.S. and include pan-Asian pics from India, Japan, South Korea and China.

The Asian-American entertainment and news network will also celebrate its L.A. launch during the fest, atop the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood on Nov. 6. The event honors a century of Asian influence on Hollywood and will host Asian-American celebrities and leaders.

Locally partnered with Time Warner Cable and Charter Communications, ImaginAsian TV broadcasts news, original programs, game shows, films and sports produced in both the U.S. and Asia. All Asian-language programming is subtitled in English.
