Co. fills VP, director of acquisitions posts

Samuel Goldwyn Films has upped Peter Goldwyn to veep of acquisitions, and has additionally named Tamara Lecker director of acquisitions and development.

Together, duo picked up three films at Sundance this year, including Noah Baumbach’s “The Squid and the Whale.”

Based in Los Angeles, Goldwyn will continue to pursue projects — both negotiating pre-buys and bringing in finished films — working directly with company prexy Meyer Gottlieb.

Meantime, Lecker will continue to pursue projects from the unit’s Gotham outpost working with development veep Julie Huey and Goldwyn.

Goldwyn previously worked in production at Satellite Films as well as Motion, and was an assistant director for ESPN Intl.

Lecker has held posts at the French Publishers Agency, Artisan and Lions Gate.
