LONDON — International TV and film distribution company Fireworks International has upped two execs. Move reps company’s attempt to step up the acquisition of pics and programs in the U.S. and the U.K.
Saralo MacGregor has been promoted to executive vice-president of worldwide distribution. From her Los Angeles base, exec will oversee all of Fireworks International’s day-to-day sales and marketing operations and report to Fireworks International’s president Greg Phillips.
Kathryn Rice has been upped to senior veepee, European sales and acquisitions. In her expanded role, London-based Rice will continue to handle sales to Europe, Middle East and Africa but also focus on the acquisition of new product in the U.K. Rice will report to MacGregor for her sales duties and Phillips on the acquisitions side.
Phillips said: “The changes will allow me to concentrate, with the help of our new principals, on expanding the activity and reach of the company and, most particularly, the library by adding new programs to the catalogue and acquiring new catalogues when available.”
Fireworks International was acquired by the U.K.’s ContentFilm in July.
