If no net profits are made, producer to keep advance
FilmFour has sweetened its terms for British producers by announcing it will give them a 10% share of its equity position as an advance against net profits.
If no net profits are made, the producer will keep the advance.
“We devised this system in order to help producers get a financial return on their projects at a much earlier stage than is normally possible, so that they can keep developing new films and ideas,” FilmFour head Tessa Ross said.
“The film industry has not been specifically geared toward nurturing the financial health of production houses before, and because FilmFour is primarily about innovation and supporting talent, we are uniquely placed to do this.”
