Deal of a ‘Lifetime’ for Cooper, Collage

Team to write and co-produce pic

Universal Pictures has acquired “Once in a Lifetime,” a drama pitch by scribe duo Adam Cooper and Bill Collage.

Team is doing a rewrite for U on “Accepted,” a comedy about a high school senior’s struggle to get into college. That pic, which Steve Pink will helm and Shady Acres is producing, is skedded to start filming this summer. Studio paid $1.25 million against $1.75 million for Mark Perez’s “Accepted” spec in 2003 after a bidding war (Daily Variety, Oct. 22, 2003).

“Lifetime” plot is being closely guarded. Cooper and Collage will write the script and co-produce on the project.

Their other credits include last summer’s “New York Minute.”
