Daley gets new duties

Short Take

USC School of Cinema-Television Dean Elizabeth Daley has been elected to Avid Technology’s board of directors. She replaces Robert M. Halperin, who retired from the board in November.

Election reps the culmination of a relationship between the media company and the film school that began in 1994, when Avid’s digital nonlinear editing systems were first installed at USC. The two orgs most recently collaborated at Sundance, where Avid sponsored a series of editing workshops led by USC faculty.
