Coon triggers Sasquatch pic

Producer, shingle team for Skousen-penned laffer

Trigger Street Independent is linking up with “Napoleon Dynamite” producer Jeremy Coon to shoot the comedy “The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang.”

Pic, written and to be helmed by Tim Skousen, is being exec produced by “Napoleon” creator Jared Hess.

Project is a comic take on the search for Sasquatch, the creature also known as Bigfoot.

Producers plan to lens pic in Oregon later this month, which will reteam some members of the “Napoleon” crew including that pic’s DP Munn Powell.

“It’s great to be involved with the Trigger Street gang in an effort to make a truly great film that revolves around a pile of Sasquatch poo,” quipped Coon.

Like Hess, Skousen is a grad of Brigham Young U’s film department.

Trigger Indie, a unit of Trigger Prods., was formed last year by Kevin Spacey, producer Dana Brunetti and writer-helmer duo Adam and Mark Kassen.

Entity seeks to make low-budget story-driven pics.
