‘Cavite’ wins at Woodstock

'Devil's Miner' digs docu prize

Helmer Ian Gamazon’s “Cavite” tookpic kudos at the 2005 Woodstock Film Festival when the annual event wrapped Sunday in Woodstock, N.Y.

Pic follows an American in the Philippines who learns his mother and sister have been kidnapped for ransom.

The docu prize went to Kief Davidson’s “The Devil’s Miner,” about the lives of miners in southern Bolivia.

The Weinstein Co. and IFC Films’ Tribeca Film Fest pickup “Transamerica” received the audience award as best pic.

Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady’s “Boys of Baraka” was the Woodstock aud’s fave docu this year.

Fest ran Sept. 28 through Sunday.
