Castle Hill lands ‘Perlasca’

Negrin-directed pic bows in Gotham on April 15

Castle Hill Prods. has picked up U.S. rights to “Perlasca,” a drama based on the true story of an Italian businessman who passed himself off as the Spanish consul in an effort to save more than 5,000 Jews from the Nazis.

Alberto Negrin directed the pic, which Enrico Deaglio adapted based on Giorgio Perlasca’s diaries and Perlasca’s book “The Banality of Goodness.”

The film, a co-production of RAI Fiction, France 2 and Focus Film, bows in Gotham April 15.
