‘Black’ kicks off IFF

Bhansali's pic to open third Indian Film Fest

Helmer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s pic “Black” will kick off the third annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.

Pic is the story of a deaf, mute and blind girl, and her teacher.

Running April 20-24 at the ArcLight in Hollywood, fest’s lineup includes the Los Angeles premiere of Anurag Kashyap’s thriller “Black Friday,” as well as additional features, documentaries and short films from and about India.

Fest closes with helmer Bharatbala’s romantic comedy “Hari om.” Pic stars Vijay Raaz (“Monsoon Wedding”), Jean-Marie Lamour (“Swimming Pool”) and Camille Natta (“Crimson Rivers”).
