Bendel holds onto ‘Secret’

Davis' comic to be of 'Service'

Producer Jeannie Bendel has optioned “Victoria’s Secret Service,” an upcoming comicbook series by Darren Davis, and signed a first-look producing deal with Energy Entertainment’s Brooklyn Weaver.

It’s the third studio sale of a comicbook property for Davis, who also sold “Isis” to Paramount-based Grammnet and “The Tenth Muse” to Ali Russell.

Bendel, 24, is in the last quarter of Chapman U. Producer’s Program and will use “Victoria’s” as her thesis producing project as she looks to package the property with a writer.

“Victoria’s Secret Service” centers on an American girl selected to join a clandestine organization formed by Queen Victoria during her reign over the British Empire.
