Artistic License has ‘Hope’

Distrib has 'Good' intentions for Tribeca pic

Indie distributor Artistic License Films has snapped up tyro helmer Mark Bamford’s South African film “Cape of Good Hope” for domestic release.

Pic, which follows a number of storylines revolving around a Cape Town animal rescue shelter, world preemed at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival.

Project stars Eriq Ebouaney (“Lumumba”) as well as Nthati Moshesh, Quanita Adams, David Isaacs, Morne Visser and Debbie Brown.

Distribution unit, headed by prexy Sande Zeig, is planning a September rollout.

Pic, which Bamford co-penned with his wife, Suzanne Kay, is a co-production of Wonder View Films and Moonlighting Films.

The film’s rights were repped by sales agent and attorney Andrew Hurwitz.
