Film Society of Lincoln Center will host An Evening with Woody Allen Nov. 28 featuring an onstage conversation with the auteur, followed by the Stateside preem of his upcoming “Match Point.”
“Match Point” was picked up by DreamWorks after it world preemed in Cannes this year. U.K.-set pic stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Emily Mortimer, Matthew Goode, Brian Cox and Penelope Wilton.
Allen event, at Alice Tully Hall, will be hosted by Film Society’s Wendy Keys.
Allen’s relationship with FSLC dates back to 1979 when the funnyman selected clips for a tribute to Bob Hope.
Helmer’s “Bullets Over Broadway” was the New York Film Festival’s first Centerpiece pic in 1994, and his “Celebrity” opened the fest in 1998.
Film Society’s Tony Impavido will produce the event. Claudia Bonn is the FSLC’s exec director.
