Michael Douglas is set to join “You, Me and Dupree,” the Universal Pictures comedy that Joe and Anthony Russo will direct this fall.
Scott Stuber and Mary Parent are producing with Owen Wilson. Mike LeSieur wrote the script.
Douglas joins Wilson, Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon in a comedy about a newlywed couple that allows the groom’s best man to stay with them after the wedding, only to quickly regret it. Douglas will play the over-the-top, controlling father of the bride.
Michael Fottrell, Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone are exec producers. Production prexy Donna Langley is overseeing.
Douglas just completed “The Sentinel” for his Further Films banner.
