Two new ‘Benchwarmers’

Kilborn, Lovitz join Revolution's team

Craig Kilborn and Jon Lovitz are teaming with Rob Schneider and David Spade on Revolution baseball comedy “The Benchwarmers,” being produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison shingle.

Shooting will begin in April.

Based on an original idea by Sandler and scripted by Allen Covert and Nick Swardson, story is about three men who try to make up for their lack of athleticism by forming a three-man baseball team to challenge youth teams.

Kilborn will play the coach of a rival team; Lovitz will play the wealthy benefactor of the team.

Dennis Dugan is directing.

Kilborn will next be seen in Disney’s “The Shaggy Dog” with Tim Allen.

Lovitz is currently filming Universal’s “The Producers: The Movie Musical,” with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
