Shingle's roster includes 'Wilder,' 'Forward,' 'Planner'
Continuing to ramp up its development slate, 20th Century Fox has signed a three-year, first-look production deal with “Wedding Crashers” shingle Tapestry Films.
Headed by Peter Abrams, Robert Levy and Andrew Panay, the 20-year-old financing and production company has produced features for its own library and for most of the major studios and independent film companies.
The Beverly Hills-based shingle’s roster includes “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder,” “Pay It Forward,” “The Wedding Planner,” “Serendipity,” “She’s All That” and “Point Break.”
Tapestry has also produced 15 award-winning children’s videos starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Company is developing Fox’s “Get a Life,” a comedy Adam Glass is writing.
“After the success of ‘Wedding Crashers,’ we were looking for a home that would support our goal of producing more mainstream commercial films,” Abrams, Levy and Panay said jointly. “We are thrilled to be joining forces with Fox.”
