Plath on East Coast path for New Line PR

Exec handled high profile pics including 'Rings'

HOLLYWOOD — New Line has upped Lina J.C. Plath to veep of national publicity in charge of PR efforts on the East Coast for key releases.

Plath joined indie label Fine Line as director of national publicity. Two years ago she was upped to director of national publicity at parent studio New Line.

Plath has handled East Coast PR for major New Line pics including “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” and “The Butterfly Effect.” She’s currently working on “The Upside of Anger” and “Monster-in-Law.”

She’ll remain based in New York, reporting to senior publicity VP Clare Anne Conlon.

Plath started her career in publicity at Miramax.
