New Line has bought thriller spec “Trap Door” from tyro scribe Sean Dickson in a low- against mid-six figure deal.
John Jacobs is set to produce through his Smart Entertainment production company. Shingle’s Colin O’Reilly is exec producing.
Story concerns a hotshot exec who has eight hours to tear apart his new Mulholland Drive home and find a safe that contains a clue that will help him save his recently abducted wife.
Dickson recently set up an untitled script at Reactor Films.
Jacobs is also producing “Man Scout” for New Line, along with “No Pain No Gain” at WB and “Blades of Glory” at DreamWorks.
Luke Ryan and Jeff Katz are overseeing for the mini-major.
