Production and finance banner Doc Hollywood Studios, headed by CEO Steven Saxton, has unveiled an alliance with producer Andreas Klein to develop and produce two pics over the next two years.
Klein is CEO of Splendid Pictures and will maintain office space in Doc Hollywood’s Los Angeles HQ.
The companies said Wednesday that Klein will additionally advise Saxton on managing a $50 million film finance gap fund, currently being structured to back a slate of films that are to lense in the U.S. with budgets below $20 million.
Fund will aim to take advantage of recently established U.S. tax incentives for producers.
Klein is also currently in development on the pics “She Died Twice” and “Last Resort.”
Doc Hollywood Studios is parent shingle to Doc Hollywood Kidz, Doc Hollywood Prods., DH1 Reality TV, Doc Hollywood Records, Bop City Records and Artist Intl. Management.
