Disney wins ‘Trophy’ pitch

Script penned by 'Attraction' scribe Brosh-McKenna

Disney Studios and producer Debra Martin Chase have bought pitch “Trophy Wives’ Club” from writer Aline Brosh-McKenna.

Romantic comedy tells the story of a younger woman and an older man who fall in love. Everybody in their respective worlds tries to break them up, since no one believes they’re sincere.

Brosh-McKenna penned the screenplays for New Line’s “Laws of Attraction” and Warner’s “Three to Tango.” Her pitch “Father Knows Less” is on the slate at New Line, with Dustin Hoffman attached to star for helmer Shawn Levy.

She also did the production rewrites on “The Devil Wears Prada” for producer Wendy Finerman and director David Frankel.

Martin Chase’s Disney projects in-clude the “Princess Diaries” pix and “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” Her Lifetime series “Missing” just started airing its third season.

Karen Glass and Todd Murata will supervise the project for Disney.
