Universal specialty film arm Focus Features has tapped Timothy Collins business affairs veep.
Based in Los Angeles, Collins will report to senior VP of business affairs Howard Meyers. He will broker talent deals for Focus, as well as for its genre arm, Rogue.
Focus has become a “destination point for filmmakers and talent from all over the world,” Collins said.
Focus’ upcoming slate includes Harold Ramis’ “The Ice Harvest,” Phillip Noyce’s “Hotstuff” and Ang Lee’s “Brokeback Mountain.”
Collins was previously director of business affairs at MGM, where he negotiated and drafted talent deals. He also worked at Warner Bros. for seven years as assistant general counsel in the theatrical legal unit.
