Those jokesters behind the “Meet the Parents” sequel sure are a zany bunch of Fockers. Helmer Jay Roach, et al., pumped up the sequel’s nameplay to the obvious amusement of Robert De Niro, who visibly strains to contain his laughter onscreen more than once.

It’s a completely adolescent, sophomoric laugh — and I never get tired of it.” Roach also discloses that Barbra Streisand got so into her sex-therapist role that she visited a few sex-toy shops. On-set wags report Jinx the cat, meanwhile, became “more forbidding than De Niro” after his star turn in the original movie.
