'Ellen,' 'Tyra' do a Take Five for women
Following in the footsteps of Sirius Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Radio announced the launch of Take Five, a talk and lifestyle channel targeting women.
Sirius recently announced partnerships with Hearst’s Cosmopolitan magazine and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and plans to unveil two separate women-oriented channels slated to kick off in upcoming months.
“Take Five” will feature daily satellite radio broadcasts of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Tyra Banks Show” as well as original content from the Food Network and HGTV.
Channel also will feature original XM programming, including “The Judith Warner Show,” hosted by the author of the “Perfect Madness: Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety.”
A complete program lineup will be announced prior to the channel’s October launch.
