Par vet to become CEO of streaming media co.
HOLLYWOOD — Jack Waterman, the former president of Paramount Worldwide Pay TV, has joined VitalStream, a streaming media solutions and content delivery provider, as its chief executive officer.
Waterman will be responsible for the overall direction and management of publicly quoted VitalStream, with a focus on furthering the company’s growth in the entertainment and advertising space, expanding the company into foreign markets, and increasing the company’s visibility on Wall Street.
Waterman will assume his new position today and also become a director of the company.
Prior to joining VitalStream, Waterman held senior posts during his 22-year career at Paramount Pictures. He served for more than a decade as president of Worldwide Pay TV, where he oversaw international channels, pay per view, video on demand and airline and hotel sales. Additionally, Waterman was the head of worldwide business affairs for Par’s home entertainment division. During his tenure, revenues from those divisions grew from approximately $250 million to $4 billion annually.
