Oscar entry forms in the live-action and animated short film and foreign-language categories are due to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences no later than 5 p.m. Monday.
Short-film entry forms must be accompanied by a synopsis, credits list, stills, film print, director’s filmography and proof of qualifying exhibition or festival win. Initial screenings are set to begin in early November.
For those shorts that make it to the branch screening round, a second print must be delivered to the Academy by Jan. 4.
Foreign-language pic submissions must include an English-language synopsis and credits list. Acad must receive prints by Oct. 14; screenings will begin Oct. 28.
Nominations for the 78th annual Academy Awards will be announced Jan. 31.
