Exec new general manager of Europe, Middle East, Africa

Buena Vista Home Entertainment Intl. has named Jerome Le Grand senior VP and deputy general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In the newly created post, Le Grand reports to Julie Sneddon, senior VP/general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities include the management of the following departments: finance, operations/European Supply Chain Organization, commercial planning and distribution and emerging markets group for his territories. He also will serve as business contact for the unit’s European legal department.

Le Grand joined Disney in 1996 as a senior financial analyst at Buena Vista Intl. He was upped to VP in 2000, when he took on the joint task of overseeing finance and planning for BVI and BVHEI. Earlier this year, he was upped to senior veep of finance, sales planning and distribution for BVHEI and finance and sales planning for BVI.

He is credited with revamping the international finance organization and helping to guide both divisions to record-breaking years.

A native of Paris, Le Grand joined Disney from Anderson Consulting.

“Jerome’s in-depth understanding of the global home entertainment business will prove invaluable as we grow and develop the market across Europe,” Sneddon said.
