Deal makes Mohn one of Idetic's major shareholders

After a career spanning radio, cable, and digital media, Jarl Mohn, aka Lee Masters, is making the jump to wireless.

Mogul has made a significant investment in Idetic, the parent company of mobile TV broadcaster MobiTV, and is joining the board and becoming a senior advisor to the company.

Deal makes him one of Idetic’s major shareholders.

Mohn will advise MobiTV on issues including content, distribution and technology.

After starting his career in the radio biz, Mohn was a senior exec at MTV and VH1, CEO of E!, and prexy of Liberty Digital, a division of John Malone’s Liberty Media Group that made investments in cable, interactive TV and the Netcos.

MobiTV broadcasts live feeds and clips from content providers like ABC News, Fox Sports and Discovery Channel to subscribers on carrier partners including Sprint PCS and Cingular.
