In an effort to spark some life in the long underperforming pay-per-view and video-on-demand markets, Warner Home Video’s On Demand Group will introduce DVD-like pop-up trivia tracks during bonus features exclusively on PPV and VOD beginning with “Batman Begins” on Dec. 3.

Each title will come with up to 15 minutes of bonus features in which three-to-five key scenes from the movie are replayed with “instant windows” or instant bars of information such as trivia about the actors and behind-the-scenes production details.

“Movies That Pop” will be offered free on select Warner PPV/VOD titles to the nearly 40 million households with digital cable or satellite.

The second Warner movie with the option will be “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” on Dec. 23.
