Josh Sabarra has been promoted to senior veepee of marketing communications and publicity at New Line Home Entertainment.
In addition to handling corporate communications, overseeing publicity and working with DVD marketing, Sabarra will work with New Line Cinema’s theatrical department to coordinate PR activities from theatrical through homevideo.
The homevid unit has expanded, with Jennifer Abrams-Trager named to the new position of director of publicity in New York. Meanwhile, eight-year New Line Home Entertainment vet Jennifer Sandler has been upped to director of publicity in Los Angeles.
Sabarra, who oversaw publicity efforts on titles including “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” and “The Notebook,” came to New Line from Miramax, where he was VP of media relations on the West Coast.
He reports to exec VP of marketing Matt Lasorsa.
