Wesley’s tapped VP at WGA East Council

The former VP fills spot vacated by new prexy Leight

HOLLYWOOD — The WGA East Council has appointed Richard Wesley as VP to fill the vacancy created when Warren Leight became WGA East president following Herb Sargent’s death last month.

Wesley will serve in the post until the next election in September.

He is a past winner of the Richard B. Jablow Memorial Award for service to the Guild and a former VP of the WGA East. He has been elected to the council four times, and he also serves on the organizing committee and the credits review committee.

Wesley’s feature credits include “Uptown Saturday Night” and “Let’s Do It Again”; TV credits include “Murder Without a Motive” and “Deacons for Defense,” along with episodes of “100 Centre Street.”
