Frank gets stripes at new MTV net
HOLLYWOOD — Kristin Frank has been named senior VP of multiplatform distribution and marketing for Logo, MTV Networks’ new channel devoted to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender programming.
In the newly created position, Frank will be in charge of building multiplatform capabilities, products and services across all distrib avenues — including TV, wireless, radio and the Internet — and will oversee off-channel marketing efforts.
She’ll report to Lisa Sherman, Logo’s senior VP and general manager.
Frank is a 10-year MTV vet, having previously served as regional veep for the Northeast region, where she oversaw distribution and marketing of 25 networks and 27 brands, negotiating carriage deals with regional and national multisystem operators.
Frank also has been based in Chicago as regional veep for the Central region and in Los Angeles as sales director for the Western region.
Before joining MTV in 1995, she was a sales manager for Specialized Bicycle. She began her career in 1987 at Heller Financial, where she served as senior private placement associate and assistant VP, account executive.
Frank attended Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern U. and holds a B.A. in business administration and finance from U. of Iowa.
