Media buyer Carat Americas is launching Carat Entertainment, a unit devoted to developing branded entertainment properties for Carat clients. Advertising vet Michael Yudin will head the venture.
Carat Entertainment will be part of Carat’s National Broadcast Group and report to exec VP Andy Donchin.
Donchin praised the new unit, claiming it “is structured so that we can work with any creative developer, talent agency, programmer or distributor. We can work with everybody and anybody for content and distribution.”
Yudin comes to the position with 15 years working on advertising accounts including Coca-Cola and Miller Beer. He worked at Viacom Entertainment as senior veep of sponsored programming; was prexy of Montreal’s Telescene Entertainment; and operated his own production company, MY Entertainment.
